Enough with the Valentines Day pap!
The muslim should by now, be able to stand firm and his attitudes towards Valentines Day should be clear. He or she should not celebrate it. Sales of flowers in England will be beyond £25 million, which is incredible, especially on a celebration which has no premise in Christianity, nevermind Islam.
What should muslims do? We do not need a pagan holiday to allow us to devote our love to our wives or husbands and Islam is truly the one religion that dedicates surahs on the healthy benefits of dedication and love in a marriage. This should not stand in our way and we can express this act on days beyond Valentines day.
On IslamiCompare, we have merchants that offer cashback on sales of flowers or chocolates, and extra promotions are advertised by them on the run up to Valentines day, but this does not mean we endorse Valentines day in anyway. It is upto you, the user, to decide what and when to buy gifts for your loved ones. We are merely the carriers of the information to our large group of online users. For example, ASDA Gifts are running 15% on Ferrari drives or Spa experiences whilst Bidz have hearts in pendants, rings, brooches, necklaces, and bracelets
And we have many more merchants offering cashback on flowers and chocolates in the next couple of weeks. Again, the choice is yours, but as Muslims, it is upto you to make decisions on what is right for you and your family - we are just passing the information to our users: Muslims and a few non-Muslims.
